French American Kids, Contract.
Payment will be made monthly, in advance, due on the first day of each month. If a payment is made later than the 5th, a late fee of $20 will be applied. Your fees are for the days and hours contracted including vacations (from both sides), holidays and illness.
The only exception for non payment is if the daycare is unable to provide care for reasons other than listed above.
Occasional delays in picking up your child are to be expected. However, if you are later than 5 minutes, a $1 fee per minute will apply and should be handed to the teacher who is caring for your child.
Please try to give as much notice as possible if your child is not coming or will be late on a particular day.
One month written notice is required before removing your child from the daycare.
No candy, balloon, gum or money. These can be hazardous to small children.
No toys unless the item is a particular favorite and helps your child to feel more comfortable. Please note that we cannot be responsible for any toys or items that are brought from home.
Parent/guardian is required to fill out a medical release form if your child is to be issued any medicine during the time s/he is in the daycare. The medicine has to be in a prescription bottle, prescribed by the doctor, with the child's name, date and recommended dosage to be administered to the child.
Do not bring a child when there are signs of communicable disease, injury or when the child is too sick or uncomfortable to participate in the regular activities. Your child must stay home or picked up immediately if s/he has a temperature 100 degres or higher. Please keep your child home if s/he has any of the following symptoms, unless there is a note from a doctor allowing the child to attend the daycare:
Fever, Severe cold, Conjunctivis (pink eyes), Impetigo (red pimples on the skin), Head or Body Lice, Diarrhea, Vomiting, Chicken Pox.
Parent will be notified if your child becomes ill while in the daycare. Children must be picked up as soon as possible and may return after 24 hours of being symptoms free.
All children must have their immunizations up to date or sign a waiver.
Material supplied by parent/guardian: water bottle, diapers, extra changes, special blanket for sleeping, lunch.
Potty training starts at home. When a child has a successful day at home (accident free besides nap), the parent can bring him/her in underwear. The child will be taken to the potty regularly, but if the child has 2 accidents, we put them in pull up or diaper, smile and try again the next day or when agreed that the child is ready.
Discipline. We feel it is the parents responsibility to discipline. However, we know at times a child may need to be redirected or separate from other children when their behaviors are out of control (time out). Our goal is to help teach the children how to communicate respectfully with peers and teachers also by setting example.
We are aware that young children are learning to communicate and, in some cases, they may react with biting or hurting another child or adult. If we feel that the child could be a danger to the health or safety of anyone in our facility, we will ask that the child be kept home until s/he can participate with others appropriately. We would also recommend solutions which have helped children previously.
Drop off/Pick up. Please walk your child in and drop her/him off to the appropriate teacher. A child will not be released to anyone except the legal guardians, unless notify in writing in advance.
